There has been a repair to one front leg and the canework has been applied recently. A cherished chair evidently.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis chair is similar to a design made by William Blackburn who was an associate of Gillows. Although working independently of Gillows, the Blackburns purchased wood, brass furniture and silver furniture for knife cases, and had their glasses silvered by the firm. They paid cash as opposed to settling their account by labour.
