The frame is original to the picture and has knocks and losses to the gesso. The whole is wonderfully original and there hasn't been any repair or meddling with so to speak.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCoats of arms such as this are more commonly found in polychromed and carved wood, gesso, or cast iron and we cannot find any other examples having been sold that are verre Églomisé, reverse glass painted.
